Stephanie Fenwick, PharmDI am passionate about creating accurate, concise and engaging materials to keep the healthcare community well informed.
My clinical background involved working with and teaching an array of healthcare providers: nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, and students. With this experience, I gained definitive insight into the work and priorities of each of these professionals. Providing these individuals with the tools to perform at the highest levels of their profession is a very rewarding experience. As a pharmacist, I also have a great deal of skill in educating the lay community. Empowering patients to be more active in health and disease management starts with education. I enjoy creating educational materials gauged for this audience, and I appreciate the opportunity to promote improved understanding of health and disease concerns. Fenwick Medical Writing LLC was founded because educating the medical community is my true calling. As a freelance medical writer, I can reach more healthcare professionals and patients than I possibly could as an individual pharmacist. |

I earned my PharmD from the University of Cincinnati. After graduating, I completed a Hospital Pharmacy Practice residency and then began a 10-year career as a hospital clinical pharmacist. During that time, I worked in Emergency Medicine and with a Family Medicine residency program. Education of other healthcare professionals was a significant component of my work in both of these roles. In addition to this clinical experience, I am also a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).

I have always enjoyed writing and routinely created educational materials, slide decks, research posters, and research manuscripts in my role as a clinical pharmacist. When I decided to pursue medical writing as a career, I enrolled in Emma Hitt's 6-Week Course in Freelance Medical Writing and completed the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) Essential Skills certificate.
